What you pay at checkout
Prices for live tickets, cruise cabins, and on-demand video are set by the event organizer. Ticket and cabin orders include a service fee at checkout; on-demand purchases show one total. You always confirm the full amount before you pay.
How checkout works
You will always see a clear breakdown before you confirm payment:
-
Ticket or cabin subtotal
The price for your seats, stateroom, or passes—shown while you book.
-
Service fee
A separate line item on ticket and cabin checkouts. It supports ticketing, secure payments, and customer support on LiveVibe.
-
Total due today
One amount charged to your card through our secure payment partner. No surprise fees after you pay.
On-demand video
Buy streaming access to concerts and events you can watch after the show. The organizer sets the price; checkout shows that amount as your total—on-demand orders do not add a separate service fee on top.
About the service fee
For live tickets and cruise cabins, a service fee is added on top of your subtotal after any coupon discount. Percentage fees are calculated on what you pay for tickets and cabins (not on top of a fully comped order). The exact amount depends on the event and appears on the checkout screen before you pay. Service fees are non-refundable, including when a payment plan is cancelled for a missed final payment. On-demand video purchases use the listed price only. We do not add hidden charges after checkout.
Event producers & promoters
Fee splits, revenue shares, and commission percentages are configured per event and shown in your account tools. This section explains Stripe payouts, platform fees, refunds, and payment plans.
- Event ticket and cruise sales pay out automatically through Stripe Connect once you complete one-time payout setup in your account.
- Default bank payouts are monthly—LiveVibe covers the $2/month Stripe active-account platform fee. You can switch to daily payouts in Account → Payout setup; daily deposits are faster but Stripe Connect fees are deducted from your share on each sale.
- Keep a positive balance in your Stripe Connect account so refunds and chargebacks can be reversed after money has already reached your bank—especially important for installment (payment plan) sales.
- Event producers see payout and buyer-fee details when setting up sales in the producer dashboard.
- Promoters must complete Stripe Connect before they can be linked to an event; commissions transfer automatically on ticket sales.
- On-demand (streaming) producer revenue settles through Connect when payout setup is complete.
- Partnership or VIP pricing is arranged directly with the LiveVibe team.
Stripe bank payouts & platform fees
LiveVibe pays you through Stripe Connect after each sale. When funds move from your Stripe balance to your bank, Stripe charges LiveVibe separate platform fees (Account Volume Billing). You choose how often money reaches your bank.
- Monthly bank deposits (default): LiveVibe covers the about $2/month active-account platform fee. Stripe may charge a small fee when your balance is sent to your bank once per month.
- Daily bank deposits (optional): Money reaches your bank faster. You cover estimated Stripe Connect fees—LiveVibe deducts about 0.25% + $0.25 per bank payout plus a share of the monthly active-account fee from your transfer on each sale.
- Change this anytime under Account → Payout setup after you finish Stripe onboarding.
- Card processing is separate from these platform fees and is already reflected in buyer service-fee economics.
Buyer service fees & your ticket share
Buyers pay a service fee on top of ticket or cabin subtotal at checkout. You keep the ticket subtotal (after discounts). On orders under about $15, LiveVibe may deduct a small processing shortfall from your payout when the service fee does not cover card costs. Promoter commissions, if any, come from the service fee and do not reduce your ticket share.
Refunds, chargebacks & your Stripe balance
LiveVibe is the merchant of record. If a buyer is refunded or wins a dispute, Stripe reverses your share from your Connect balance.
- If you already received a bank payout, your Stripe balance may go negative until future sales offset it.
- Keep enough funds in Stripe to cover refunds—especially on payment plans where buyers pay over time.
- LiveVibe initiates refunds from the platform; your Connect account is debited automatically when a reversal applies.
Payment plans (installments)
When buyers pay over time, each installment is a separate charge and your share transfers on each successful payment.
- Your total producer share matches what you would receive on a single full payment for the same tickets.
- Service fees may be collected upfront or spread across installments depending on your event plan settings.
- Earlier installments may already be in your bank when a refund happens—maintain a positive Stripe balance.
Producer & promoter FAQ
- Where do I set monthly vs daily bank payouts?
- Sign in, open Account → Payout setup (or Tools → Payout setup), and choose monthly or daily bank deposits. Daily payouts require you to cover Stripe Connect platform fees from your share on each sale.
- What is Account Volume Billing?
- Stripe charges LiveVibe about $2 per month for each connected account that receives a bank payout, plus about 0.25% and $0.25 per bank payout. On the default monthly schedule LiveVibe covers the active-account fee; if you choose daily payouts you cover the estimated fees on each sale.
- Why do I need a positive Stripe balance for refunds?
- Transfers happen when buyers pay, but bank deposits follow your payout schedule. If a refund is issued after money already reached your bank, Stripe debits your Connect balance. Future sales and any balance still in Stripe will offset the debit.
- How do installments affect my payout?
- Each installment pays out your proportional ticket share when it succeeds. The math is designed so your total earnings match a pay-in-full purchase. Payment-plan buyers who default forfeit future installments; amounts already paid follow the refund policy for that event.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a service fee on every order?
- Ticket and cabin purchases include a service fee shown at checkout before you pay. On-demand video purchases do not add a separate service fee—you pay the listed streaming price shown at checkout.
- How does pricing work for on-demand video?
- Each on-demand title has a price set by the organizer. At checkout you see that price as your total. After payment you get access according to the event schedule—immediate or on the release date shown on the event page.
- When will I see the full amount I am paying?
- During booking you see ticket or cabin prices, or the on-demand price on the event page. On the secure checkout page you see every line item and the total due before entering payment details.
- Can the service fee change by event?
- Yes. Organizers may use different service-fee settings per event. The checkout page for your order shows the fee that applies to that purchase.
- Do promo codes reduce the service fee?
- Partial discounts lower a percentage-based service fee because the fee is calculated on your subtotal after the coupon is applied. A 100% off or complimentary code covers the ticket or cabin price with no separate service fee—you still go through Stripe Checkout at $0, and Stripe will not collect a card when nothing is due.
- Are service fees refundable?
- No. Ticket and cabin service fees are non-refundable, including on payment-plan bookings that are cancelled because a final installment was not paid on time.
- Are taxes included?
- Any taxes or local charges required for your order are included in the total shown at checkout when they apply. If you have questions about a specific charge, contact us with your order confirmation number.
